Status: concept developed, we plan to start in the near future.
Why
For many people the first job in Ireland is the hardest: there is no history, no references and no contacts. And work is also a feeling of being needed.
A participant's path
- Assessing skills and experience.
- Recognition of qualifications: where to apply (we point you to the official sources).
- English for work, a CV and interview preparation.
- Meetings with employers.
- Retraining, or starting self-employment and a small venture.
What we do now and what needs partners
Now: advice and workshops inside the community and contacts through our meetings. Needing partners: retraining programmes, steady contact with employers and recognition of qualifications.
Limits: we do not guarantee work, we do not replace employment services and we do not issue qualifications. We give tools, connections and people alongside you.
