Impact and results
Here we show what has already been done, what we measure and what we do not yet know. What is achieved is kept apart from what is planned.
What is confirmed
- March 2025: regular community meetings begin in Dublin.
- More than 200 participations in events since March 2025 (the organisers' estimate).
- May 2026: Networking and Friends, with more than 70 participants.
- July and August 2026: a picnic and a day in nature.
- 1 September 2026: the company Fortuna Community CLG is registered (CRO 824716).
- September 2026: two trial Business Booster sessions.
- 10 October 2026: participation in a business forum in Drogheda.
- 16 October 2026: a preliminary application for Roots of Europe is submitted; no decision.
From participant to leader
We build an environment where getting to know people can grow into taking part, taking part into new skills and cooperation, and cooperation into a community initiative of your own. Each person chooses their own path and level of involvement.
This is our working model and an expected path, not a measured result. We collect the stories of people who have walked part of this path on the Participant stories page.
How we count
Since March 2025 the events of Fortuna Community have drawn more than 200 participations, by the organisers' estimate. Because no systematic count of unique participants was kept at the early stage, the figure reflects the estimated activity of the community, not a confirmed number of separate people. The organisation is introducing a registration and monitoring system for a more accurate assessment of its social impact.
Expectations and future indicators
These are plans, not results. For each project we will track indicators that fit its aim: for example the number of participants, sessions held, ideas reviewed at Business Booster, partnerships created, and participants' progress towards employment or self-employment. We will publish the counting method together with the figures.
Theory of change (in brief)
Problem: people who start again are left without a circle of company, skills and contacts, which stops them taking part in social and economic life. Actions: meetings, learning, enterprise support, cultural and inclusion projects. Expected change: less isolation, more skills and contacts, more people who take part in community life and take up initiatives of their own. We test this logic against results and will adjust it.
